The Stratton Volunteer Fire Department is located in the Stratton Fire District in the middle of Kit Carson County on the far eastern plains of Colorado. We serve approximately 421 square miles of open farming and pasture ground surrounding the town of Stratton. The Stratton Volunteer Fire Department also serves a 15 mile stretch of Interstate 70 between mile markers 412 and 427. When called upon, we also assist the surrounding fire districts in eastern Colorado.

The district spans from County Road A to County Road PP and from County Road 25 to County Road 36.
